1. Assembled LM301H/B "Quantum Boards"

Reliable storefronts that have been in this niche for years:

• Kingbrite Lighting Store — the de facto standard for serious DIY growers. Genuine LM301H EVO / LM301B + Osram 660 nm. 240 W boards run roughly EUR 55–75, 320 W around EUR 85–110. They publish spectrum graphs and binning. Ships from China (Shenzhen) — expect 10–20 days to PL via AliExpress Standard, rarely faster. No EU warehouse that I'm aware of.
• Quantum Board Official Store / Meijiu Lighting — similar quality, slightly cheaper, less consistent binning.
• Geeklight and HanLight — budget tier, mixed reviews, often LM281B+ relabeled as "LM301H equivalent". Avoid if you care about efficacy.
• Epistar / Sanan-based boards — the really cheap ones (EUR 30–45 for 240 W). These are NOT Samsung. Efficacy typically 2.3–2.5 µmol/J vs 2.7–2.9 for real LM301H.

EU warehouse stock for bare boards is essentially nonexistent. The EU-warehouse listings you see are almost always complete fixtures, not boards.

2. Bare Diode DIY

On paper: LM301H EVO diodes run roughly USD 0.08–0.15 each on AliExpress in reels of 1 000. Osram Oslon SSL 660 nm around USD 0.35–0.60. An 800 W board needs ~1 800–2 200 diodes.

Practical verdict: don't do it. Reflow soldering 2 000 surface-mount diodes per fixture is a multi-hour job per board, you need a proper reflow oven, and Kingbrite's assembled price is barely above the bare-component cost once you factor in the aluminum MCPCB, solder paste, stencils, and failure rate. DIY from raw diodes only makes sense if you're prototyping a custom spectrum. For 60 fixtures, buy assembled.

3. Drivers

Meanwell HLG-480H-C and HLG-600H-C on AliExpress: EUR 75–95 and EUR 95–130 respectively. Genuineness is the real question:

• Meanwell Official Store and Mean Well Authorized — genuine, but priced nearly identical to European distributors like TME.eu or Digikey. No savings.
• Random sellers listing Meanwell at EUR 40–60 — roughly half are counterfeit or B-stock rejects with fake holograms. I've seen teardowns showing swapped caps and missing thermal protection.

4. Ready-Built 800 W Bar Fixtures

Tier ranking based on actual PPF tests and reputation:

• Mars Hydro FC-E8000 — legitimately good, ~2.8 µmol/J, Sosen driver, Samsung LM301B. Mars Hydro has an official AliExpress store and ships from Mars Hydro EU warehouse (Germany/Poland) for some SKUs. Around EUR 550–700 delivered.
• Spider Farmer SE8000 / G8600 — tier-1, roughly on par with Mars Hydro. Official store on AliExpress, EU warehouse in Germany. EUR 600–750.
• Kingbrite 800 W bar light — excellent value, genuine LM301H EVO, but ships from CN only. EUR 450–600.

7. Shipping Reality

The "10-day to Poland" claim is genuine only for AliExpress Choice items from EU warehouses. For heavy Chinese-origin shipments:

• AliExpress Standard Shipping: realistic 15–25 days for LED fixtures from CN.
• Cainiao Expedited: 10–15 days, extra cost, works for fixtures under 30 kg.
• Sea freight (hidden in "Economy"): 40–70 days. Avoid.
• For 50–100 kg orders, most sellers route via Cainiao air freight to Liege (BE) or Warsaw, then DPD/InPost last mile. Expect 14–21 days realistically.

Sellers with genuine EU warehouse stock: Mars Hydro (DE), Spider Farmer (DE), sometimes Phlizon (CZ). Kingbrite does NOT have EU stock despite occasional claims.
