Research — AliExpress sourcing for commercial LED grow lights (Poland, April 2026)

1. Assembled LM301H/B "Quantum Boards"

Reliable storefronts that have been in this niche for years:

EU warehouse stock for bare boards is essentially nonexistent. The EU-warehouse listings you see are almost always complete fixtures, not boards.

2. Bare Diode DIY

On paper: LM301H EVO diodes run roughly USD 0.08–0.15 each on AliExpress in reels of 1 000. Osram Oslon SSL 660 nm around USD 0.35–0.60. An 800 W board needs ~1 800–2 200 diodes.

Practical verdict: don't do it. Reflow soldering 2 000 surface-mount diodes per fixture is a multi-hour job per board, you need a proper reflow oven, and Kingbrite's assembled price is barely above the bare-component cost once you factor in the aluminum MCPCB, solder paste, stencils, and failure rate. DIY from raw diodes only makes sense if you're prototyping a custom spectrum. For 60 fixtures, buy assembled.

3. Drivers

Meanwell HLG-480H-C and HLG-600H-C on AliExpress: EUR 75–95 and EUR 95–130 respectively. Genuineness is the real question:

For Poland specifically, TME.eu (Łódź) sells genuine Meanwell at competitive prices with next-day shipping. For a build this size, skip AliExpress drivers entirely and buy from TME. This is the single biggest piece of advice in this report.

Acceptable alternatives on AliExpress: Sosen SS-600H / SS-480H (EUR 35–55, legitimately decent, used in Mars Hydro fixtures), Inventronics EUG-480 (premium, rarely discounted), Moso X6/X8 (fine for the price). Avoid no-name "LED driver 600 W" listings.

4. Ready-Built 800 W Bar Fixtures

Tier ranking based on actual PPF tests and reputation:

Avoid: generic "2 000 W LED grow light" listings claiming 2 000 W actual draw for EUR 150. These are 200 W fixtures with inflated marketing.

5. Intercanopy 120 W Bar Lights

This is the weak spot. Commercial intercanopy is a small market and AliExpress selection is thin:

Realistically budget EUR 100–140 per 120 W intercanopy bar, and expect to contact sellers directly (AliExpress chat) for bulk pricing on 36 units.

6. Realistic Total Cost (delivered to PL, EUR)

Low estimate (Kingbrite boards + Sosen drivers + DIY assembly, or CrxSunny pre-built):

High estimate (Mars Hydro / Spider Farmer premium, EU warehouse):

Add ~8–12 % for Polish VAT if not already included (AliExpress typically collects IOSS VAT at checkout for shipments under EUR 150; over that, customs will hit you).

7. Shipping Reality

The "10-day to Poland" claim is genuine only for AliExpress Choice items from EU warehouses. For heavy Chinese-origin shipments:

Sellers with genuine EU warehouse stock: Mars Hydro (DE), Spider Farmer (DE), sometimes Phlizon (CZ). Kingbrite does NOT have EU stock despite occasional claims.

Customs reality for PL: orders over EUR 150 get assessed 23 % VAT + possibly duty. A EUR 15 k LED shipment will attract customs attention. Budget EUR 3 500–4 000 extra for VAT on top of the AliExpress price unless the seller handles DDP (Mars Hydro and Spider Farmer usually do for EU warehouse stock — this is another reason to prefer them for a build this size).

Final practical advice: for 60 fixtures this is commercial scale. Split the order — buy drivers from TME.eu, buy top lights from Mars Hydro/Spider Farmer EU warehouse (pay the premium for warranty and DDP), and only use Kingbrite via AliExpress for the veg/clone/intercanopy where warranty matters less. Contact Mars Hydro and Spider Farmer sales directly via their AliExpress stores for a 60-unit bulk quote — both routinely discount 15–25 % at that volume.
